I love watching the bride and groom see each other for the first time, whether it is for a first look or walking down the aisle. What is going through his mind when he sees her? How is she feeling? Such an emotionally charged moment!! I often joke with the groom that he should cry when he sees her, and secretly (or not so secretly) I’m totally hoping he will. I love emotion and capturing emotion and everything about emotion. These two didn’t see each other before the ceremony, and when Megan pulled up in her car off in the distance, and Austin was waiting for her, I could see it. His nerves, his love, and his smile. And then when she walked down the aisle towards him, she was so radiant, like literally glowing with love.

The ceremony was super short and sweet, with smiles and rings and kisses, and then the party began. You should seriously check out this Little Sidecar Bar that provided all the drinks, it is the cutest little…food truck? booze truck? that was a top notch addition to the day. We were also able to sneak away during the reception for some sunset shots, which is one of my favorite times to do photos, and of course I had Austin spin Megan around, and it was hilarious and awesome. The night ended for photography with some dancing around a tent strung up with lights–ummmm twinkling wedding lights are my jam–and I left happy and totally thrilled to have been a part of their day.
